Syed Asif Shah, MD, MPH, MMM, FACC, FACP, RPVI. Syed Asif Shah M.D. earned his medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in 1987. He successfully completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship training at the University of Medicine and dentistry of New Jersey program. Dr Shah is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology by the American board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Shah is Board certified in Vascular Ultrasound imaging by the ARDMS. Dr. Shah's additional academic qualifications include a masters degree in public health (MPH) from the University of Dundee and a Masters in Business administration from Simon School of business, University of Rochester with a focus on Medical Management. Dr. Shah is board certified in medical management by the certification commission in medical management. Dr. Shah is a fellow of American college of Cardiology, a fellow of American college of Physicians and a diplomate of the American college of Physicians Executives. Dr. Shah's extensive clinical and management experience spans 3 continents. Dr. Shah has previously worked as a full time faculty member in Cardiology at the University of Rochester for ten years where he was extensively involved in teaching the residents and cardiology fellows in addition to running his busy clinical practice in Rochester and Brockport. His goal is to support the local hospital and he participates in various management committees and uses his management experience to help Lakeside Hospital develop new programs. Dr. Shah is a proud member of the Medical staff at the Rochester General Hospital, Unity Hospital, United Memorial Hospital and the Orleans County /Medina Memorial Hospital. Dr. Shah's clinical expertise include cardiology consultations, Nuclear Cardiology, Stress testing, Electrocardiography, management of coronary artery disease, Vascular disease, Heart failure, hypertension and Cholesterol abnormalities. Dr. Shah enjoys photography in his spare time. His artwork can be seen displayed at our office. |
